(ANSA) - Padua, April 18 - Italian police on Friday said a
well-known Padua architect had suffered a record jewelry heist
worth some 500,000 euros.
Police are puzzled why there are no signs of breaking and
entering.
The thieves "cleaned out" all the architect's jewelry,
valuables and watches from his luxury apartment in central
Padua, they said.
The proceeds are believed to be a record for a burglary from
one private residence.
