(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 23 - Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, the
president of the Council of the Bishops' Conferences of Europe
(CCEE), said Thursday that he has contracted COVID-19, adding
that he has a mild form of the coronavirus thanks to him being
vaccinated.
The former archbishop of Genoa also called on people to get
vaccinated.
"I'll simply talk about the experience I'm having with COVID,"
Bagnasco told Vatican News.
"It's an extremely mild form, without any particular troubles,
and I think this mildness is certainly down to the fact that I
completed my vaccinations in May.
"It's known that you can be infected and can infect with the
vaccination, but in extremely mild forms.
"That is my experience". (ANSA).
