(ANSA) - ROME, APR 10 - Italian mortgage rates fell again in
February, with the average APR dropping to 4.31% from 4.38% in
January, the Bank of Italy said on Wednesday.
Mortgage rates started to come down at the end of 2023 in
anticipation of a possible easing of the European Central Bank's
monetary policy.
Rates had risen sharply due to the ECB's interest-rate hikes
designed to bring down inflation (ANSA).
