We'll present new DEF even before 20 Sep says Giorgetti

(ANSA) - ROME, APR 9 - Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said Tuesday the government will present its new DEF economic and financial blueprint, the basis for the 2025 budget, even before the scheduled date of September 20.
    "The deadline for the presentation of the new DEF, the fiscal structural programme, is set for 20 September, but it is our wish to present it even earlier, when all the elements will be available, starting with the technical trajectory scheduled for mid-June by the EU," Giorgetti told a press conference after a cabinet meeting that approved the document.
    "This DEF takes into account the decisions, the revolution of the fiscal budget rules in the EU. What is missing are the implementing provisions, the instructions for building the path," he said. (ANSA).
