(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 2 - Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti
said FRiday he would rather take out a stake in Ferrari than
Stellantis amid talk of the Italian State taking a chunk of the
Italo-Franco-American carmaker amid Italian plant closure fears
in the absence of subsidies for electric cars.
"The State in Stellantis? I'd go into Ferrari instead",
Giorgetti said.
Ferrari surged almost 10% on the Milan stock exchange Thursday
on record profits and seven-time F1 world champ Lewis Hamilton
joining its motor racing unit. (ANSA).
