(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 27 - About 380,000 jobs were created in 2022, which is higher than in 2019, before the COVID-19 health emergency, according to a joint note on the labour market produced by the Ministry of Labour, the Bank of Italy and national employment agency association Anpal, which emphasises that the balance for 2022 "is largely positive, but the slowdown in the labour market at the end of the year is confirmed".
Employment growth for the year is attributable exclusively to the permanent component: more than 400,000 stable jobs were created.
In the last two years, almost one million new salaried jobs were created in the non-agricultural private sector (net of terminations), the report said.
"The recovery has completely absorbed the fall caused by the health emergency," said the survey.
In particular, as the data indicate, in 2021 net activations were +602 thousand and in 2022 +382 thousand (in total +984 thousand). (ANSA).
