(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 20 - An interest rate hike is needed to
help curb rising inflation in Italy too, European Central Bank
President Christine Lagarde said Monday.
"We have mapped out a path of normalization, wholly legitimate
and necessary, citing my colleague from the Bank of Italy,
Ignazio Visco," she said.
She said the ECB was the only body responsible for monetary
policy. (ANSA).
