Tax take up 12% first 10 months of 2021

Vat revenues up 22.3% on Jan-Oct 2020 says econ min

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 6 - Italy's tax take was up 12% to 377,814 million euros in the first 10 months of 2021 compared to the period of 2020, the economy ministry said Monday.
    The January-October increase this year amounted to some 40,466 million euros, it said.
    The data were heavily affected by last year's COVID-19 lockdown and suspension or postponement of many taxes, it said.
    The VAT take was up 22.3% in the first 10 months of the year, the ministry said.
    It rose by 20,064 million euros.
    Indirect tax revenues overall were 18.7% (26,724 million) up to 169,737 million, the ministry said. (ANSA).
