(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 16 - ISTAT said Tuesday that Italy's
annual inflation rate was 3% in October, the highest level since
September 2012.
The national statistics agency said the rise was driven by
increases in energy prices.
The annual inflation rate was up from 2.5% in September 2021.
The October rate also came in higher than ISTAT's preliminary
estimate of 2.9%.
ISTAT said its consumer price index was up by 0.7% in
month-on-month terms in October. (ANSA).
