Blocking goods unacceptable says FM

(ANSA) - Rome, march 3 - Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said Tuesday on Tuesday launched an extraordinary plan to support Italian-made products amid the coronavirus emergency.
He said that blocking Italian goods due to the coronavirus was unacceptable.
"Blocking goods is unacceptable," he said.
"And having countries who are now asking for guarantee labels on Italian goods is an unacceptable fact".
Di Maio was talking at the presentation of the 2020 Extraordinary Plan for Promoting Made In Italy amid the virus emergency. Several countries have blocked Italian goods.
Di Maio said 716 million euros had been earmarked to boost 'Made in Italy' products.
"I can assure you that we want to spend it in the best way possible," he said.
"Among the ways in which it will be spent there will be credit for businesses and an extraordinary communications campaign, as well as all the information for internationalisation".
Di Maio said small and medium sized firms would be 100% reimbursed for fairs and other events which are cancelled due to the emergency.
These firms would also get services free, and their contributions to foreign trade agency ICE would be halted until the end of 2021.
