(ANSA) - Rome, August 21 - Italy was second worst behind the
UK for first-quarter household income rise, the Organisation for
Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) said Wednesday.
Italy showed a rise of 0.5% compared to the UK's 0.3% -
though the UK was better over the last eight quarters.
The OECD-wide rise was 0.6% and the eurozone rise 0.7%.
Germany showed a gain of 0.6%, France 0.8%, and the US and
Canada both 0.9%.
Italy is slowly emerging from a triple-dip recession.
Recent industrial production figures have ben poor but
employment data have been better.
