(ANSA) - Rome, July 12 - There will be no postponement to Alitalia's Monday deadline for the formation of its rescue consortium, industry ministry sources said Friday.
Industry ministry sources said Tuesday that Alitalia would become a newco with an absolute majority for the economy ministry and Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) rail group, which is handling its rescue and turnaround.
The sources reiterated, despite media reports to the contrary, that the dossier would be closed on Monday July 15, without any postponements.
German Efromovich of Avianca has become the fourth player in the rescue of Alitalia after Delta Airlines, the Toto group and Lazio Chairman Claudio Lotito, Industry Minister Luigi Di Maio said Wednesday, according to ministry sources.
Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), which is handling the rescue, will have around 35%, Delta 10-15% and the economy ministry around 15%, he reportedly said.
Di Maio said Tuesday that Lotito should demonstrate his "financial solidity".
