(ANSA) - Rome, May 15 - Italy should up its spending for job
creation, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and
Development said Wednesday.
"Italy should increase spending and boost cooperation at a
national and regional level as part of a wider effort to help
more people to work and reduce the country's high unemployment
rate," the OECD said in a report.
It said "the introduction of the basic income adds further
responsibility to the system of employment services".
It also said "the improvements in investment and in the
performance of employment service systems become more important
than ever today".
