(ANSA) - Rome, March 5 - Only food and pharmacy products can
be bought with the new basic income card when it comes into
force, sources said Tuesday.
But gas and electricity charges may also be paid, they said.
The 'decretone' also says cash withdrawals can be made, as
well as a montly charge for mortgages or rent.
But the economy ministry is working to broaden the range of
possible acquisitions.
