Carige asks State guarantee for bonds

(ANSA) - Milan, January 18 - Troubled Genoa lender Carige on Friday requested a State guarantee for two bond issues totalling two billion euros and lasting 12 and 18 months.
    The issues will be made once technical procedures have been completed, said the bank, which is the subject of a precautionary recapitalisation.
    Carige reserves the right to request a further one billion euro guarantee, according to a decree, it said.
