(ANSA) - Rome, January 17 - ISTAT said Thursday that Italy's
exports dropped 0.4% in November with respect to October.
But the statistics agency added that exports were up 1% with
respect to November 2017, driven by higher sales to the United
States (up 15.8%), Spain (5.1%), Austria (7.6%), the Netherlands
(4.9%) and China (3.3%).
Imports were down 2.2% in November on October but up 3.4%
with respect to the same month in 2017.
ISTAT said Italy's trade surplus amounted to 3.843 billion
euros in November, down from 4.668 billion 12 months before.
