(ANSA) - Rome, October 23 - The spread between Italian and
German 10-year bond yields, a gauge of investor confidence,
closed on 318 points with a yield of 3.59% after the EU rejected
Italy's 2019 budget plan.
In both cases they were the highest since last Friday when
the spread hit levels last seen at the start of 2013.
The European Commission said it had had no alternative but to
reject the plan.
