15% flat tax only up to 65,000 euros

(ANSA) - Rome, October 16 - A 15% flat tax for the self-employed in next year's budget will concern firms and professionals with earnings up to 65,000 euros, according to the Draft Budgetary Plan sent to Brussels, in which the second threshold of 100,000 euros proposed by the League does not appear (within which an extra 5% levy was supposed to be charged).
    That extra 5% would have been hard to levy, sources said.
    But the government does not rule out changing the norm during the budget bill's passage through parliament.
    The target may be broadened to include higher earners, sources said.
