(ANSA) - Rome, June 15 - Italy's annual inflation rate was
1.4% in May, ISTAT said on Thursday, confirming the figure given
in its flash estimate. The annual inflation rate was down half a
percentage point after reaching 1.9% in April. The national
statistics agency said its consumer-price index fell 0.2% in May
with respect to April this year.
