FS posts record profit in 2016 (2)

(ANSA) - Rome, April 21 - Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) railway group posted a record profit of 772 million euros in 2016, 66.4% up on the previous year, CEO Renato Mazzoncini said Friday.
    "We are very satisfied", Mazzoncini said as the groups said it would pay out a dividend of 300 million euros. Last week the government gave the green light to FS merging with motorway company Autostrade to rev up business while remaining two autonomous units.
