(ANSA) - Rome, March 13 - The Senate finance committee is
working on a bill to provide universal benefits for dependent
children, including for the first time the self-employed and
people who earn too little to pay tax, sources said Monday. They
said the measure would cost an estimated four billion euros a
year, added to the existing budget of 19 billion. The measure,
political sources said, "aims to provide support for all no
matter what kind of work they do".
