(ANSA) - Rome, January 13 - The 'Misery Index' calculated by
retailers' association Confcommercio rose by 0.5 points to 19.4
points in November 2016 over the previous month, new figures
showed on Friday.
The data confirmed a trend of deepening social malaise that
began last spring, the organisation said.
Confcommercio attributed the increase to stable inflation and
a slight increase in unemployment.
