Suez to increase stake in ACEA to 23.3%

(ANSA) - Milan, July 28 - French water and waste management company Suez announced on Thursday it will increase its share in Italian utility giant ACEA to 23.3% from its current 12.5%, by buying shares from Italian real estate and construction company Caltagirone. Suez said the purchase will be financed by issuing Caltagirone new shares in its company, equivalent to 3.5% of its capital, as part of a long-term industrial partnership.
