(ANSA) - Rome, July 28 - London-based SABMiller brewing
company on Thursday halted talks with American beverage giant AB
Inbev, which is planning a takeover of the company.
In an internal memo on Thursday, SABMiller CEO Alan Clark
said: "there shouldn't be any contact with AB Inbev with
immediate effect".
On Tuesday AB Inbev raised its takeover offer, in light of
the devalued British pound as a result of the Brexit vote, and
said the offer was final.
