(ANSA) - Rome, June 24 - Retail sales rose 0.1% in April
compared to March, but were down 0.5% compared to April 2015,
according to data released by national statistics bureau Istat
on Friday.
Istat said the food products sector saw the largest decline
on an annual basis, dropping 1.6% over the past 12 months, with
the largest increase in the appliances sector, up 1.5%.
