Unemployment down to 11.4% in March (3)

(ANSA) - Rome, April 29 - Italy's unemployment rate fell to 11.4% in march, its lowest since December 2012, Istat said Friday. It was 0.3% down on February and 1.1% down on March 2015, the statistics agency said. Youth unemployment fell to 36.7% in March, its lowest since October 2012, Istat said. The rate for 15-to-24-year-olds fell 1.5% on February and 5.4% on March 2015, the statistics agency said. The number of employed people in Italy rose 90,000 in March compared to February and 263,000 compared to March 2015, Istat said. In march the number of employed was 22,578,000 (+1.2% on March 2015, +0.4% on February). Italy's employment rate rose to 56.7%, 0.2% up on February and 0.9% up on March.
