(ANSA) - Rome, April 22 - Italian retail sales increased by
0.3% in February with respect to January and by 2.7% compared to
the same month in 2015, Istat said on Friday.
The year-on-year rise was the biggest since April 2014.
The national statistics agency said the driving force of
the rise was the food sector, which registered gains of 3.3% in
value terms and 3.6% in volume terms with respect to February
2015.
