(ANSA) - Milan, April 18 - The Milan bourse closed 0.55% up
Monday as the bellwether FTSE-MIB index rose to 18,358 points.
Banking stocks did well again on expectations from the new
Atlante fund for weaker banks.
MPS rose 8%, Carige 6.7%, Anima 5.7%, Unipol 5.3%, UBI Banca
4.9% and Finecobank 4.1%.
BPM and Banco Popolare were also up.
