(ANSA) - Turin, April 15 - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA)
sales jumped 13.3% in March compared to the same period last
year, the company said Friday. The positive results were across
all brands, with Fiat +14%, Jeep +16.8%, Alfa Romeo and Lancia
+0.8%. Market share rose from 5.9% to 6.3% in the period. FCA
outperformed the European auto market, which grew 5.7% in March
compared to the same period in 2015. The data referred to the
EU-28 plus Iceland, Norway and Switzerland. Also on Friday, CEO
Sergio Marchionne said that while a deal with General Motors
"can't happen right now" the company is still looking for new
partners. These could include Ford, Toyota, or Volkswagen, he
said. South Korea's Hyundai Motor Group is "not interested",
Marchionne told reporters.
