(ANSA) - Milan, January 20 - Italy's culture and creative
industries generated a turnover worth as much as 47 billion
euros in 2014 representing some 2.9% of Gross Domestic Product
(GDP), employing as many as 1 million people, Ernest & Young
said Wednesday.
Some 41% of those employed in the sector are aged 15 to
39,according to a study entitled Creative Italy presented at the
Milan Triennial, which was carried out by E & Y with support
from professional associations spearheaded by the Ministry for
Cultural Heritage and Tourism (MIBACT) and the Italian Society
of Authors and Publishers (SIAE).
