Mazzoncini tipped to become FS CEO

(ANSA) - Rome, November 27 - Renato Mazzoncini is tipped to become the new CEO of Italian rail company Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) at a shareholders meeting expected to take place Friday evening, sources told ANSA. Gioia Ghezzi is expected to become new president of the State-controlled company, they said. A new board is also expected to be appointed. The FS board resigned Thursday after the government said it was going to sell off a 40% stake in the company.
