(ANSA) Turin, June 29 - The European Investment Bank and
the Sace export credit agency have earmarked 600 million euros
for research by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in Italy over the next
three years, officials said Monday.
The financing will be used for research and development
activities at FCA centres in Turin and Modena.
Studies to be financed include research into advanced
propulsion fuels and efficient vehicle technologies, vehicle
security and comfort technology and the new architecture of
vehicles.
A second component of the package concerns investment in
productive centres in southern Italy, at Pratola Serra and
Termoli, for the production of new more efficient petrol and
diesel engines for Alfa Romeo cars, auto industry sources said.
