(ANSA) - Rome, May 27 - Whirlpool management have been
summoned to the industry ministry June 9 to discuss what
Industry Minister Federica Guidi has called an "indescribable"
plan to close three plants across Italy, shedding more than
2,000 workers.
Unions welcomed the news.
