(ANSA) Venice, March 27 - If Italy reduced corruption to
the levels of Spain the Italian GDP would increase by 0.6% a
year," the Confindustria employers' federation leader for small
firms, Alberto Baban, said Friday.
Graft "cuts the legs off growth: if we could reduce it to
the level of Spain GDP could increase by 0.6% a year," Baban
said.
"In this way we would cut by half the differential in speed
of growth with the rest of Europe," he said.
