(ANSA) - Turin, January 28 - The initial public offering
(IPO) and spin-off of luxury automaker Ferrari should be
completed this year, barring regulatory issues, Sergio
Marchionne said Wednesday.
"We plan to close the Ferrari IPO and the spin-off in
2015," Marchionne, chief executive officer of Fiat Chrysler
Automobiles (FCA), said during a conference call after the
release of 2014 earnings.
He also defended plans to initially sell 10% of shares of
Ferrari on capital markets.
"I think that is the right figure, I don't feel that we
need to change it," he said.
Last November, Marchionne said the IPO would likely be
conducted between the second and third financial quarters of
2015.
The month before that, he said the Ferrari spin-off from
FCA would start with the sale of a 10% stake.
