(ANSA) - Rome, November 20 - Industrial orders fell in
September with decreases recorded in both foreign and domestic
demand, national statistical agency Istat said Thursday.
Orders fell by 1.5% in September compared with one month
earlier, and by 0.4% compared with September 2013, the agency
said.
Industrial turnover in September fell by 2.2% year over
year, said Istat.
September's losses reversed an August increase in
industrial orders, a statistic that provides an indication of
the health of manufacturing for both export and domestic
consumption.
Italy's economy continues to struggle with recession and
high unemployment.
