Group wants espresso on UNESCO list

Italian coffee consortium 'believes strongly in its task'

(ANSA) - Trieste, October 24 - A consortium of 20 Italian coffee roasters, coffee machine makers, and coffee-related firms said Friday it wants Italian espresso placed on the UNESCO cultural heritage list.
    "Turkish coffee is already recognized, so why not espresso?" consortium founder Giorgio Caballini said at the TriestEspresso Expo trade show.
    Caballini said the administrative process of getting recognized isn't easy, but the group believes strongly in its task and has received numerous requests for admission from potential new consortium members.
