(ANSA) - Rome, October 24 - Jobless benefits claims dropped
8.9% in August over the same period last year, INPS social
security and pensions agency said Friday.
A total of 103,430 claims were filed, down from 113,511
claims in August last year, the agency said.
As well, INPS received layoff claims equal to 104.5 million
working hours in September, up 9.2% over August and 13.7% over
September 2013.
