(ANSA) - Rome, October 1 - Employment levels at large
Italian firms, those with 500 workers or more, dropped 0.8% in
July with respect to the same month in 2013, Istat said on
Wednesday.
The year-on-year drop in was the labour indicator was same
as in June.
The national statistics agency added that its employment
index for large companies was 1% down in the first seven months
of 2014 with respect to the same period last year.
Istat also said that its seasonally adjusted index of
gross average earnings per hours worked decreased by 0.6% in
July with respect to June.
