Taxman levies 3.7 bln in first semester

(ANSA) - Rome, July 23 - Inland revenue has recouped 3.7 billion euros' worth of taxes in the first six months of the year, Equitalia tax collector made known Wednesday. The numbers were in line with the same period last year, the agency said. As well, 2.3 million taxpayers filed requests for extended payment plans on a total of 25.6 billion euros in taxes owed, Equitalia said.
