(ANSA) - Rome, July 23 - Italian exports beyond the European Union rose by 0.3% in the second quarter compared with the first three months of the year, national statistical agency Istat said Wednesday.
The agency said it recorded a "slightly positive" rise in exports of non-durable consumer goods and a rise in capital goods, which offset a drop in other export sectors.
However, in June alone, exports fell by 4.3% compared with May figures, while imports grew by almost 2%, Istat said.
Still, last month exports to Asian countries jumped by 25.4% and to the United States by 15.6% compared with May, Istat said.
