(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 9 - Spaniard Pelayo Sanchez Mayo (Movistar
Team) won the sixth stage of the Giro d'Italia, the 180 km Torre
del Lago Puccini-Rapolano Terme run, on Thursday, while
Slovenia's two-time Tour de France winner Tadej Pogacar retained
the leader's pink jersey.
The Spanish rider beat Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe and
Australian Luke Plapp in a three-man sprint.
In fourth place, slightly off the pace, came Italian Andrea
Piccolo, just ahead of the pink jersey group. (ANSA).
