Stoltenberg thanks Meloni for SAMP/T to Kyiv

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 8 - NATO Secretary-General Jens Stolytenberg on Wednesday thanked Premier Giorgia Meloni for Italy's supplying, with France, a SAMP/T air defence system to Kyiv, the Alliance said.
    "Italy has also signed a bilateral security accord with Ukraine, helping to improve the country's defences, to support the arms industry and combat hybrid threats", it said.
    In his meeting with Meloni the NATO chief praised Italy's support for Ukraine, it said. (ANSA).
