(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 8 - The stock of aerospace and defence
giant Leonardo surged almost 5% on the Milan bourse Wednesday
after filing strong first quarter results Tuesday night.
Leonardo in fact posted a net first quarter profit of 459
million euros, up from 40 million in the same period of last
year.
The ordinary net result, 93 million euro, was almost double last
year's 40 million, reflecting "the improvement of the EBIT", the
company said.
Earnings were 20.8% up and EBITA up 73.3%, it said, confirming
its 2024 guidance. (ANSA).
