Inclusion cheque analysis partial says labour min

'It does not factor in overall measures and jobs growth'

Redazione Ansa

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 8 - A European Commission analysis of Italy's new anti-poverty 'inclusion cheque' saying it will actually raise poverty levels is partial, the labour ministry said Wednesday.
It said the assessment "is based on a study of a partial and static nature, in the sense that it does not take account of the dynamics of implementation generated by the new measures and by the growth of employment in Italy".
The ministry said that a "comprehensive overall evaluation would probably lead to a more positive analysis".
The ministry recalled that the controversial citizenship wage basic income had been replaced by the inclusion cheque and another measure, support for training and employment. (ANSA).
