(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 7 - James Pallotta could face a criminal trial in Italy after Rome prosecutors concluded a probe into alleged irregularities regarding gains from transfer dealings registered in the balance sheets of AS Roma while the American businessman owned the Serie A club between 2011 and 2020, sources said Tuesday.
Other former club executives during Pallotta's ownership period, including former general manager Mauro Baldissoni, also risk indictments, the sources said.
Rome prosecutors said that they have requested that a probe into the club's current president and vice-president, Dan and Ryan Friedkin, be dropped.
They sad that "in the period after 2021, the year in which the current owners acquired the company, no transactions of the type in question were carried out". (ANSA).
