(ANSA) - ROME, APR 29 - The Court of Milan is returning to
Tim the EUR 249 million it had previously seized at the end of
February as part of the investigation into a maxi scam through
telephony services, for so-called 'Value Added Services (VAS),
judicial sources said Monday.'
Tim had challenged the proceedings and now the Court has
annulled the preventive seizure decree and will file its grounds
within 30 days.
Value added services (VAS)in mobiles means those services that
are offered by telecom service providers to customers beyond the
core services like SMS, voice and data. The services may either
be free / chargeable. The major areas where VAS are provided
include entertainment, e-commerce, sports, etc. (ANSA).
