(ANSA) - ROME, APR 9 - Three men are dead and six missing after an explosion and fire at a hydroelectric power station in the mountains above Bologna on Tuesday, local sources said.
The toll of the Lake Suviana reservoir tragedy rose as, according to the Bologna prefecture, there are currently three confirmed dead and six missing, in addition to three injured.
The fire broke out during maintenance work on the ninth level down, at a depth of 30 metres.
Firemen said "we're having trouble getting in, we need to get the temperatures down".
The plant's construction began 100 years ago.
