(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 4 - A 48-year-old Italian woman died Saturday night after her car hit a stationary van on a state highway in Puglia after the van had hit a wild boar that was crossing the road.
The accident happened on state highway 580 between Ginosa and Marina di Ginosa.
Farmers group CIA said human encounters with boar were still resulting in too many accidents, some fatal, despite a nationwide cull to curb an invasion of urban areas by the animals. (ANSA).
