(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 7 - The surgeon who operated on Pope
Francis' abdominal hernia Wednesday, two years after operating
on him for a colon issue, said the pontiff was in such good
spirits after his latest op that he quipped to him "when are we
going to do the third one?"
It was with this line that Pope Francis greeted surgeon Sergio
Alfieri as soon as he woke up after surgery (ANSA).
